Owning your own truck is a big step. Lease-to-own is one way to get there without a big down payment and without a surprise at the end. Here’s how it works at Cheetah, in plain English.
How it works
Start as a company driver.
Drive with us, get to know our dispatch and our lanes, and see how we work.
Lease a truck after 90 days.
Company drivers can lease a truck after 90 days with $0 down.
Make the same payment every week.
Your weekly payment is fixed for the full term and written into your agreement.
The truck becomes yours.
At the end, the title is transferred to you. There’s no balloon payment.
Every term, in writing
Before you sign, you get every term in writing, and you can take your time to read it. Here’s what the agreement covers.
Who it’s for
Lease-to-own is a good fit if you have:
- A Class A CDL for 5 years or more
- Verifiable over-the-road experience
- No major or DOT-recordable accidents or serious moving violations in the last 24 months
- The means to cover weekly costs: escrow, insurance and a maintenance reserve
